01Setup Difficulty
If you are familiar with computer environment setup, or often install software and configure browser plugins, this software should be easier to get started with.
If you rarely do this kind of configuration, there will be a learning curve. Companion software/plugin installation, environment preparation, first-time parameter setup, and the first scan/import flow may all take time. Setting aside about one hour for the first setup is normal.
If installation or configuration gets stuck, please do not struggle alone. You can ask the group owner in the user community, or ask a colleague or friend who is familiar with computer setup to take a look.
02Import Scope
The currently stable scope is importing articles from WeChat Favorites into the Tencent ima.copilot knowledge base, including Official Account articles and some ordinary web articles.
Videos, images, notes, addresses, and similar Favorites item types are skipped by default. This software also cannot import content into other knowledge bases, cloud drives, note apps, or third-party platforms.
Official Account collection import and article URL import may be supported later. If you want to import all articles from a specific Official Account in the future, you can first collect the article URLs manually or through other channels, then use URL link import to batch import them into ima.
03Task Time
This software mainly handles two types of tasks: scanning tasks and import tasks.
To reduce the chance of triggering WeChat risk controls, forced logout, or account restrictions, the program includes speed reduction and rate limits. Overall speed is therefore much slower than very fast manual clicking.
Scanning runs at about 1 article per second. Importing has two modes: the default slow import mode is about 30 articles per hour, while the optional fast import mode is about 80-90 articles per hour under default settings.
It is better to use this ahead of time when you are free, not when an urgent task is already waiting. For large collections, running the import overnight is usually more comfortable.
04Pricing
This is a paid project, but no account registration is required.
Each new user can receive a 50-use free trial quota to confirm whether the software fits their needs. The free quota is bound to the computer, and one computer can claim it only once.
If the pricing does not fit your needs, that is completely fine. Please decide based on your collection size, time cost, and import needs. Pricing details are available at: https://www.we2ima.com/en/pricing/
05Collection Size
If you only have a small number of saved articles, such as a few dozen or one or two hundred, manually importing them into ima may be the better deal. Learning the software, completing first-time setup, and getting familiar with the workflow also takes time.
If you have several hundred articles, first consider whether those articles are really important. If only a small part will be reused later, manually picking the important ones may be simpler.
This software is most valuable when your Favorites contain thousands or tens of thousands of articles, and you believe those materials are worth systematically importing into ima. For that scenario, automation may save days or even more than a week of repetitive work.
06Collection Classification
The way ima knowledge bases work means that too many unrelated articles or pieces of content in the same directory can become noise, which may reduce retrieval accuracy later.
If you already tag and organize WeChat Favorites articles, it is better to import articles from different tags into the corresponding ima knowledge base directories.
If you did not build a tagging habit earlier, you can first finish importing all saved articles into ima. After that, you can use Tencent's Workbuddy+ima combination to automatically classify the imported articles. Some bloggers have shared tutorials; if needed, you can privately ask the user group owner for them.
This page is not meant to push everyone to download. It helps you judge whether We2ima fits your collection size, time budget, and import goals.
